The latest addition to the model 27 family has a 10 mV/g sensitivity and operates reliably up to +175°C (+347°F). Two standard options are available; the 27BLPF-10-02 has a 2 kHz corner frequency and the 27BLPF-10-10 has a 10 kHz corner frequency. Low-pass filtering at 2 or 10 kHz enables attenuation of high-frequency, high-g signals in order to prevent obscuring low-frequency data of interest. Potential applications that will benefit from low-pass filtering include vibration measurements on compressors, during flight tests (aircraft, launch vehicles, missiles) and during vehicle testing. Two-pole filtering provides a steeper roll-off than competitive miniature sensors, which have a single-pole filter.
The adhesively-mounted 27BLPF miniature sensor has a 0.25 inch diameter and weighs 0.8 grams, minimizing mass loading on the test structure. The teardrop-shaped titanium housing is hermetically sealed, has a side-exit M3 connector and comes standard with a 10-foot mating cable. Included accessories are petro-wax adhesive for temporary installations, an isolating mounting pad, and a removal tool. The 27BLPF-10-XX-R is available at specially discounted rates under the –R replacement sensor program.
